Adding New Dimensions to Communication
Remote Desktop Access: InterAct allows users to invite their contacts to securely view or even remote-control their computer at the click of a button. This versatile feature does not require any changes in firewall configuration and can be used for single users or conferences. Practical applications include remote sales presentations, remote software demonstrations, collaborative document authoring, technical support and secure access to the user`s work or home PC from anywhere. Interactive Sketching: Some ideas are easier to communicate with a picture. InterAct allows you to exchange sketches in real-time, requiring minimal bandwidth. This feature is particularly user-friendly on pen-based PDAs but even on a Laptop it is the fastest way to communicate visual information such as the lay-out of an apartment or directions to a location.
A Truly Mobile Instant Messenger
Low Bandwidth: A grown-up communication channel needs to provide for mobile users. Instant Messaging is inherently very well suited to mobile environments, as the data requirements for text transfer are tiny. InterAct is designed to leverage this advantage and does not add to the bandwidth required through advertising or other non-relevant data. As a result, WebToGo InterAct on a handheld device or on a laptop is the most cost-effective way of staying connected on the road or even abroad. With a volume-based GPRS or UMTS contract, a user can stay online the entire day and exchange several pages of writing for less than the price of a single SMS. One Client for All Communities: Through integration with the market leading messaging communities AOL, MSN, Yahoo and ICQ, the consumer can stay in touch with all his contacts and friends from one single client without advertisements. Multiple Platforms: A truly mobile system needs to provide for the full spectrum of hardware on the market. InterAct supports MS Windows, MacOS and Linux and is also available for PalmOS. PocketPC and Symbian support will be added soon.
Full Integration into the Workplace
Control and Security: The corporate solution is available as an ASP model or as a self-hosted server solution and offers full control over functionality and use through an easy-to-use web interface. It is encrypted end-to-end by industrial strength 128-bit SSL security. Tuned to the Work Environment: InterAct has fine-tuned client behaviour to satisfy the requirements of a professional communication tool rather than a recreational toy, including alert options, presence awareness, time tracking and conversation logging, assuring a positive user-experience in a corporate environment. Corporate Notifications: InterAct offers a versatile API which turns the client into a cross-platform push-channel for the delivery of all pertinent information from existing systems, including notification of new tasks, appointments, company news, incoming mail or system outages. In conjunction with a web-based CRM or Project Management application such as WebToGo IDA, notifications can link straight back into the system for additional information. The InterAct server can also send e-mail and SMS messages or be configured as a corporate e-mail client. |
